Steel Wool and Stainless Steel Wool is used for electrowinning & mining. As a cathode material in electrowinning cells used to recover gold and other precious metals from mining slurries.

The performance of low carbon steel wool and stainless steel wool in electrowinning have the following benefits:

  • Low carbon steel is most effective and has high strength properties while Stainless Steel Wool is reusable.
  • High surface area.
  • Offer a consistently high yield.
  • Consistent sized fibers (30 to 120 microns).
