In the exhaust & muffler construction, stainless steel wool is mainly used as cladding for absorption pipes. This prevents the insulation materials, such as E-glass or basalt wool, from being blown away. However, it is also increasingly used to fill the absorption chambers of high-quality silencers. Our silencer wool consists of stainless steel wool of ferritic chromium steel, in temperature class up to approx. 1200°C.
